EWCA Outstanding Chapter Award
Nominations are being accepted for the EWCA Outstanding Chapter Award. This award was first presented in July, 2000 at the EWC/EWCA International Conference. The first recipient, the EWCA Philippines Chapter, was honored for hosting the 1999 EWCA Regional Conference in Manila and for a wide variety of programs and services it has provided to its members.
Objective
To recognize outstanding EWCA Chapters which have provided significant contributions to the goals and programs of EWCA.
- An active and committed group of chapter leaders who support the mission of the Center and the goals of EWCA,
- Quality programs which expand the outreach of the Center into local communities
- an active membership,
- a pro-active approach in organizing events and activities that benefit the local EWCA and the Center
- Successes in providing networking opportunities, professional activities, and social events which interest and benefit the local alumni.
Selection Process
Nominations will be solicited from members of the EWCA Executive Board, EWCA Chapters, and the Associates Office. Nominations will be reviewed by the EWCA Nominating Committee and recommendations will be made to the EWCA Executive Board for final disposition.
Awards
Up to a maximum of three awards may be presented each year.
Award Presentation
An appropriate certificate or plaque will be provided to the selected chapter/s during an EWCA event such as an EWCA Conference, EWCA Board Meeting, or Chapter Leaders Meeting.
Deadline for Receipt of Nominations
January 15. The nomination should provide sufficient information to clearly identify the nominee's contributions based on the five criteria listed above. The nomination should be endorsed/signed by at least three EWCA alumni members.
